Pinewood Derby Rules

1. Race cars must weigh no more than 5 ounces and be no taller than 3 inches.
2. Axles must be seated within the provided slots / cuts.
3. All race cars must be made from the kits sold at the Longhouse meetings. You must use the standard axle, wheels and wheel clips supplied with the car kit.
4. Wheels and wheel clips cannot be modified. Axles, however can be polished and/or lubricated.
5. Width of the nose of the car should be one inch or greater (otherwise car will not sit properly in the starting block).
6. Each car must be weighed and numbered on the day of the race prior to racing.
7. Pre-race registration opens 30 minutes prior to your race time – Please be on time!!
