Update!
Aho Y-Indians,
I’d like to send a shout out to all the families that came out to coastal cleanup day last Saturday. We were part of a larger California event that brought together more than 11,000 volunteers statewide, who picked up over 22 tons of trash, bringing sustenance to the coastal wildlife that rely on a clean living environment and food supply to survive. At Leo Carillo state beach alone, we cleaned up over 3 miles of coastline with 183 volunteers. The families of the Wilicota Federation helped to pick up 228 lbs of trash, and 137 lbs of recycling…all in a sunny morning’s work, while having fun in the waves at the same time. Many of us will, no doubt, return to Leo Carillo throughout the year to enjoy it’s clean beaches and amazing tide pools.
